Geomantik Arena (Gameplay Demo 0.4.2) is about battles between spirits, drawing inspiration from a wide range of real world folklore and religious practices. Mount your team employing elementals, planetary daimons, nymphs & fairies, and confront enemies in strategic, turn-based battles!

Spirits act by manipulating the "Emerald Table", a  3 x 3 grid where a spirit can place or remove elemental tokens - in order to damage or heal.

Each turn, a different Geomantic Figure is drawn randomly, offering unique strategic possibilites upon activation.

On gameplay demo 0.4.2 it is possible to mount your team - and the enemy team - among 22 different daimons, featuring 48 unique skills, and put them to fight in fully animated battles.

0.4.2 features some quality of life improvements, such as an in-game tutorial explaining core mechanics (though it still lacks a tutorial for the geomancy system), mouse and keyboard support, localization for English (EN) and Portuguese (PT-BR).

Be warned that most of the art in the game is still placeholders - using the concept pieces for the time being.

I just took some time to play through the tutorial and try a few games on my own. This is such a great demo! There is an impressive amount of depth and complexity to the gameplay and I think I could spend quite a lot of time investigating the different builds and move combinations. The sun spirit is my favorite daimon so far, without it I was getting crushed!

I did get a little stuck on the deck building screen for a bit because I didn't understand that I was supposed to press space bar to advance after having selected the cards. So for anyone else who may come across this when playing the game try using the keyboard arrow keys, enter and spacebar to play the game.

Overall, this is looking awesome so far and I'll be very interested to see what you do as you continue development! Great work!

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! It makes me really happy to know you enjoyed the game and appreciated it's strategic depth!

The space bar thing is a serious oversight of my part, I'm really sorry!! I pushed another hotfix and now there's a proper Proceed button (the Space bar still works). Thank you very much for pointing it out!

The Sun Spirit is quite bulky and has one of the strongest nukes in the game. I've been trying to balance it fairly but still keep that sense of "OMG this Daimon really rules" proper to the Spirit of the very Sun! There's an eclipse mechanic in play which, albeit situational, balances it back a little - but I don't spill the mechanic out explicitly in the game, just drop some vague hints :)
(there's a logic to it though)
